How would you describe your photography style?

We would describe it as creative, yet classic. Our couples use words like amazing & dramatic, others call it, natural & honest. We like to think of it as the best combination of candid & romantic images with a small sprinkling of traditional style. Everyone sees something they like in the photos.

 

Do you deliver every image from the wedding?

The majority but not quite all of them. We eliminate duplicates, out of focus images, shots with unflattering expressions, test shots and other images that may not meet other technical or aesthetic standards.

 

Who will be photographing my wedding?

We are one of the few studios that let you choose your wedding photographer. It may be Alan – our lead photographer – or one of our other amazingly talented artists. Contact us to see portfolios and find out more about our photography team.

 

How many images do we receive from our wedding?

It depends on a few things – the length of the time we are there, the number of locations involved and the number of your guests, but you can definitely expect several hundred beautiful and emotional images.

 

Do you edit all the images from our wedding?

Yes. Every image is adjusted with our blending of standard post-production techniques. This includes color-correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, sharpening, and other adjustments. Higher level retouching (removing blemishes, flyaway hair, altering the size and shape of body parts or other objects within the photo, etc) is available for $75/hour.

 

I have a bunch of photos from Pinterest that we’d like to duplicate, is that ok?

Pinterest (and other photo-sharing sites) are a great way to get inspiration for the feeling and mood of your wedding. Matching ideas to your particular color scheme, discovering a new look for your hairstyle, or a fresh perspective on the traditional wedding cake are perfect uses for those sites. When it comes to your photography though, you probably want something that captures the spirit of your one, amazing day and that is completely unique to the two of you as well. You wedding isn’t a “cookie cutter” of someone else’s, your images shouldn’t be either. We love collaborating with our couples to create amazing images that are one-of-a-kind, just like their love is. Bring your imagination & excitement and trust in our creativity to make it happen!

 

How much time do you suggest we set aside for wedding day photos?

We recommend having the photographer start an hour and a half prior to the ceremony time. This will ensure we capture plenty of getting ready images of both the bride and the groom. Post-ceremony, an hour is recommended to record the formal pictures, family and bridal party images, along with time for pictures of just the bride and groom. Finally, we suggest the photographer stay half an hour after the final event of the evening you want images of (cake cutting, bouquet/garter), to allow for delays and to capture pictures of your quests dancing and having fun.

 

Are you same-sex friendly?

Absolutely. We believe everyone in love should be able to have beautiful images of their wedding day.

 

What rights do I have with the digital images?

You have the right to print the images or share on your personal social media site. However, you may not sell the pictures to any publication, agency and/or website.

 

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. Many venues require photographers to have Liability Insurance and we carry $2 million in coverage.

 

How do I reserve you for my wedding day?

Your date is reserved once we receive your signed contract and reservation fee. Our availability changes daily so we cannot hold a date without the reservation fee & contract. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
